This Privacy Policy describes how and why we – Skillab GmbH, Hamburg chamber of commerce number HRB164938 – collect, process, and handle your Personal Data when you visit our website www.myskillab.com (hereinafter referred to as “Website”). This Privacy Policy includes other documents referenced in this Privacy Policy, as well as any updates to it. Our Website contains links to other websites. Our Privacy Policy applies only to our Website. If you click on a link guiding you to another website, the respective Privacy Policy shall apply. To the extent allowed by law, the English language version of this Privacy Policy is binding, and other translations are for your convenience only. 1.2 What regulations apply to this Privacy Policy? As a company based in Germany,  Skillab GmbH maintains a legal presence in the European Union (EU). This Privacy Policy meets the requirements of the European Union’s (EU) General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR). GDPR is a regulation in EU law that ensures privacy and data protection for all individuals within the EU and European Economic Area (EEA). 1.3 What is Personal Data? Personal Data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. A person is identifiable, if the person can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identification number or to one or more factors specific to his physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. This may include data such as e.g. name, email address, telephone number and mailing address. Additionally, Non-Personal Data is any information that cannot be used to identify you, such as anonymized usage statistics.  

1.4 How does Skills Lab UG handle updates to this Privacy Policy? Our Website is dynamic, and we may introduce new features, which may require the collection of new information. If we collect materially different Personal Data, materially change how we use your data or modify this Privacy Policy, then we will notify you. 

Depending on how you choose to interact with our Website, we collect Personal Data that can be used to identify you. We collect Personal Data to do what you ask us to do, such as sending you newsletters download a whitepaper or schedule a product demo with you. Additionally, we collect Non-Personal Data that cannot be used to identify you.  

2.1 Contact Form to request a demo

You can contact us, for instance to request a demo, via a Contact Form on our Website. To use it, you enter your data in the input mask. This data will then be transmitted to us and processed in order to handle your request. When you submit the Contact Form, we will process the following information:  

• Your email address (mandatory field) 

• First and last name (mandatory field) 

• Date and time of registration 

• Message (optional) 

When entering your Personal Data in the Contact Form, then you consent - based on Art. 6.1 a) GDPR - that we will get in touch with you to schedule a meeting and send you additional information about our platform and products. After having submitted the Contact Form, then you can object to us processing the information that you submitted, by sending an email to tina.hausen@myskillab.com.

We will process the information that you transmit with the e-mail exclusively for the processing of the communication. If you contact us via email, then Art. 6.1 f) GDPR provides the legal basis; meaning that it is in our legitimate interest to process your Personal Data for the communication. If you then also intend to conclude a contract with us, then Art. 6.1 b) GDPR constitutes the necessary legal basis for the processing; meaning that this processing is based on a contractual relationship.  

2.3 Submit a form to request a document 

You can submit forms to request a document, such as a whitepaper or a company profile. When you submit a form to request a document, we will process the following information:  

• Your email address (mandatory field) 

• First and last name (mandatory field) 

• Date and time of registration 

When entering your Personal Data in the Contact Form, then you consent - based on Art. 6.1 a) GDPR - that we will get in touch with you to schedule a meeting and send you additional information about our platform. We use sub-processors to provide you with the best possible website experience. Art. 6.1 f) GDPR provides the legal basis for the usage of these sub-processors; meaning that it is in our legitimate interest to process your Personal Data without infringing on your interests.  

3.1 HubSpot

 We use HubSpot as a sub-processor to store the personal data that you submit via forms. Consequently, we will share your personal data with HubSpot. According to its Data Processing Agreement, HubSpot hosts data processed through its services in the United States.   

3.2 Google Analytics

 We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous usage statistics. Google Analytics is a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics installs first party cookies in your browser allowing us to get insights into the usage of our website. The cookies are saved within your browser for up to 26 months. We use Google Analytics to collect Non-Personal Data about Website visitors. This allows us to monitor the usage of the Website and improve its user experience over time. Your IP address is anonymized, before collected by Google Analytics.  Consequently, Google Analytics only collects Non-Personal Data, including:
